More precise leaf positioning

PostWed Feb 13, 2019 6:26 pm

Hey, everybody.

I've been fiddling around with TreeIt lately (one wonderful piece of software, really) to learn its insides and outs.
Whilst trying to create a different kind of spruce tree I came into the obstacle of not being able to specify which branches the leaves should appear on.
Namely, I'm trying to create a tall spruce tree, which has only the top branches covered in leaves, whereas the bottom ones are bare. By adjusting the count slider of the leaves I'm able to make them appear only on the lower parts of the tree, but not vice-versa.
As a workaround I attached the green leaves directly to the trunk, because then I can actually make use of the position min and position max sliders. But this isn't a great solution, since it attaches leaves directly to the trunk, making them look unnatural.

Any tips?

Thank you
