How to export branches

PostSun Oct 13, 2019 7:06 am

Hi,
I remember that sometime ago I've read in this forum a post made by the Tree-it programmer about the procedure to export branches (with leaves) as textures to use later in a tree to make a lowpoly tree.
Now I can't find that post.
Is this forum reset or had some maintenance that cut off some threads or posts?
Could you some help me linking that post?

Thanks in advance

That tutorial was removed since there have been so many changes to treeit recently that it became a bit irrelevant.

When making branches that are to be captured to an image, I use these steps.

Branches:

Step frequency = 2
Target step frequency = 2

Yaw mode = step
Yaw = 180
Yaw increment = 0

if branchlets are used I lock branches

Yaw = 90 (sets branchlets)

then unlock branches

Then I make adjustments to any of the other properties to get the branches that I like.

Leaves:

Step frequency = 2
Target step frequency = 2

Yaw mode = step
Yaw = 90
Yaw increment = 0

Roll mode = randomize
Roll = 90
Roll increment = 0

You should now have a flat looking tree that can be rendered to a image.
