How to determine the profile of a tree?

Hi,
I'm enjoying tree-it so far. How do you control the overall profile of a tree? In other words, is it's shape spherical, conical, oval, etc? I know how to control the spot where the branches start and stop along the trunk but I don't know how to change their relative length based on their height. For example, conical would have the length decreasing steadily as they get higher while spherical would start small, grow bigger, then get small again as they move up the tree. Can someone point me in the right direction.

While I'm here, two suggestions that would make this software a lot easier to use/learn:
1. Can the settings tabs be searchable, i.e. a search box at the top let's you put in a keyword like "branchlet" and it filters out everything that doesn't include that term?
2. Consider adding tooltips to each setting - something that describes what it is/does when you hover over it.

I think these two quality-of-life improvements would be helpful to many people like me. Thanks for listening.
