Treeit Crashes if Mesh Layer Count is increased to 200

PostMon Aug 28, 2023 10:18 pm

In the latest build,
Increasing number of Mesh Layers to 200 crashes Treeit. I loaded the Mesh Layer with a .tre file of a small tree branch which uses a mesh layer as leaves.

Also couldn't save it as a .tre file because it crashes as well. The crash message says something about not having enough memory. I am using an RTX2080 with 8gb ram.

Still troubleshooting this issue, seems like once the tree mesh polygon count goes above 400,000 polys It crashes and shows that error.

This crash and error happens whenever I try to save the file or export to fbx. If I reopen the saved file, the tree is missing in the viewport.

EDIT: Solved this issue. Seems reducing the polycount of the .tre file used as mesh Layer worked. It now allows higher polycount in the main .tre file above 500,000.
