Crashes on any texture change

PostTue Apr 03, 2018 2:20 pm

I have been using the software and love it so far! Though I require being able to change the textures without a crash no matter what file format i try.

Runtime Error 5105 - Memblock position outside range at line 12238

Hey, I had the same problem and it seems to have something to do with the .dds file format treeit is using.

First if you're using Photoshop, you will want to install the Nvidia Texture Tools Plugin, wich only works in CS6 or below, so you will also want to install that.

Then open your .png/.psd in CS6 and choose "save as -> .dds", choose your directory and in the options menu it is very important to set the file format to "8.8.8.8 ARGB 32 bpp". This might not be the only one that works but it's the only that I found. Unfortunately there will be a small rim around your alpha, which I couldn't get rid off. Feel free to play around with the many options but I couldn't find anything useful.

Finally put your new .dds into the treeit folder on your drive, else you will get a pathfinding error. Now open treeit choose your texture and voilĂ !

This will also work with the free CS2 Version.

Hope that helps :)
